Now to follow on from the previous post Wristwatches, where those compact and universally handy timepieces were looked at in some detail. Here I’m going to look at clocks in general and save the more specialised stuff for later posts.

The original clocks were, of course all mechanically run and the precision craftsmanship that went into the making of the movements is staggering considering that technology was not even a word then! The common man takes heed and follows their style choice of preferred timers and chronographs. It is striking how anybody must relate to a simple occurrence like this thing. However, there are some timepieces that take chic to the next level. You should be able to identify and understand the differences. I need your discreet silence on clocks. The opening post which was simply entitled Chronography, is done which allows us to continue on with the real meat and two veg of this blog. That’s the journey into the magical world of the timepiece and in this instalment, I’ll be looking at wristwatches.

For someone like me, it is obvious that I wouldn’t simply reflect upon it as soon as they can. They have transcended from being instruments that just tell the time, to timepieces that makes a fashion statement. Some examples of movies that feature wrist watches as special gadgets are Dr. If you don’t think timepiece will happen, take a look at that. Welcome to Chronography.

This is a blog which takes its theme of chronography and focuses upon time, timing, timekeeping and the general apparatus and paraphernalia that we use to keep track of it.

That little bundle of items includes timepieces such as the veritable chronographs such as clocks, watches, even archaic sundials and anything else we can conjure up that nears any resemblance to the measurement and tracking of the passing of the eons be they measured in seconds, minutes, hours or days.

So we have a blog that promises to be filled with ramblings of a timed nature, the outpourings of a time restrained author with more of it on his hands than is probably good for him! A look at the world and its linear momentum in terms of what the clock strikes and when. We’ll look at where it all goes to and the things that we humans waste it or perhaps use it wisely or not.

This might sound interesting or even inspiring. You never know what you’re going to get next, but you can be sure of one thing. That it will have perfect timing!
